First race back from the stress fracture!! What a fun experience and boy did it feel good to race. The weekend actually started the night before with the super yummy dessert reception for the wedding of Team Pink. Talk about carbo-loading! The majority of the reception guests were actually doing the triathlon the next day, so it was quite fun to meet up the next morning bright and early for a 7am (!!) race start having partied the night before. We surprised the newlyweds with some Team Pink printed tank tops, thanks to Bronwyn.

Routley and McBride Win
release by the Tour de White Rock
Just back from a nice relaxing race trip-turned-vacation at the cottage in Ontario, I raced for West Point Cycles in the Tour de White Rock at the end of BC Superweek. This 3-part race was quite a challenge and a very amazing learning experience.
As I'm still out of the running game, I have had the opportunity to try my hand at some cycling racing while I heal my foot to keep me motivated. As I'm just starting out in the world of cycling, I was racing with the Cat 4 women. I was seriously freaked out prior to the race and spent the whole morning fretting about the road rash potential!
